The Burlin Spirit
Producer, Director, Director of Photography, Editor In January of 2007, I began working on a documentary about the sport of sled dog racing in Upstate New York. Sled dog racing is a unique sport, especially in Upstate New York, and especially for our 14-year-old character, Mike. Our film showcases what it is like for an average teenage boy to participate in a "not-so-average" sport. Sled dog racing is a sport that requires a lot of devotion and time. While other kids his age are sleeping in on the weekends, Mike travels an hour and a half every Saturday morning to help his trainer raise and train 50 dogs at his kennel. If It Floats Producer, Director, Director of Photography, Writer If It Floats is a mockumentary-style, field-shot comedy that follows the dysfunctional staff of a high-power public relations firm as it struggles to spin public discourse and overcome its own internal dejections. The Anderson and Anderson and Anderson firm has recently lost its major client, the Keds shoe corporation. To pay the bills and win Keds back, the company agrees to represent several smaller clients -- including ones with wildly opposing beliefs and goals. Will they be successful? Watch and you'll see... If It Floats! This show was produced for Ithaca College Television. For more information, visit ICTV's website at (www.ictv.org).
