Intern - The Ellen DeGeneres Show - Los Angeles, CA - Fall 2007
SKILLSWorked as an intern for a nationally syndicated talk show. Rotated through Human Interest, Production, Audience, Research and Website departments. Responsible for a wide-range of duties that changed on an almost daily basis, while gaining invaluable experience working on an Emmy Award winning studio production. Development Intern - Triple Threat Television - New York, NY - Summer 2006 Worked as a development intern for a non-fiction production company. Responsibilities included: leading a development team for a new show, researching and participating in weekly development meetings, shooting demo reels for in-house viewing of shows in development, logging and transcribing field tapes. Videographer / Video Counselor - CampTV Media, Inc. / Camp Takajo - Naples, Maine - Summer 2007 Hired as videographer for a summer camp in Maine. Responsible for shooting many hours of footage to be used in summer video yearbook as well as numerous promotional videos for the camp. Served as the counselor for the video hobby classes, working with children ages eight to fifteen years old to produce various video shorts. Director of Programming and Operations - Ithaca College Television - Ithaca, NY - December 2006 to June 2007 Responsible for the on-air day-to-day operation of television station and its programming. Work with show producers to develop a local, flowing, and effective weekly schedule for ICTV. Directly responsible for any content that airs on Time Warner Cable in Tompkins County from the ICTV Master Control facility. Responsible for managing the Master Control staff, insuring their proper training and job performance. Park Portable Equipment Center and Servicing (PPECS) - Ithaca College - January 2006 to May 2007 Facilitate distribution and collection of portable audio, motion picture, still photography and video production equipment. Trained to inspect, and conduct minor repairs, on every piece of equipment before distributed and when returned to the center. Student Engineer - Ithaca College - September 2005 to May 2008 Trained to assist Ithaca College Television productions at the technical level. Work alongside faculty engineers to troubleshoot varying types of technical problems that studio-produced shows face during their production.
